In the second installment of the series, we focus on the only freshmen pair.
Jessica Dow and Victoria Curtice, freshmen, makes a connection at No. 4 in the 2016 El Camino beach volleyball line-up and are looking to prove that their place in the team is rightly given to them.
Coach Le Valley Pattison said last year’s team had a good No. 1, 2 and 3 pairs and when the any of them lost, the team wasn’t so great.
This year she believes all of her five pairs are great, that includes Dow and Curtice and the No. 5 pair in Jewel Yandall, sophomore, and Brooklyn Rubio, freshman.
“It’s… awesome,” Dow said. “I feel pretty good and (I put) all my trust (in Curtice).”
