The El Camino baseball team (4-3) went on the road to beat San Bernardino Valley College 10-5 on Tuesday.
The Warrior’s jumped out to a one-run lead in the first couple of innings, then they extended the lead with help from the long ball with freshman center-fielder Noah Barba’s second home run of the season.
“Offensively we came out strong, and kept trying to tack on every inning,” freshman catcher Connor Underwood said.
The Warrior’s gave up 5 runs on the day but 4 of those came in the last two innings.
“Our pitching was not at our best yesterday,” Underwood said. “But we made some good plays on defense to get out of some tough spots.”
The Warriors have a rematch with San Bernardino Valley College on the road Thursday at 2 p.m.
