Café Camino has new items on its menu this fall semester, with breakfast options being the main addition to the on-campus restaurant.
The café had a limited menu following the return of in-person classes during the COVID-19 pandemic. General manager Jamie Cancino said it was to accommodate the relatively low number of students attending El Camino College in person at the time.
With campus life returning back to normal and student enrollment rising the café has added new breakfast options to its menu.
“We have enough items for all the students who want to try this or that,” Cancino said. “We have different items [for] every day of the week.”
Options mentioned by Cancino include a breakfast burrito, a variety of omelettes and the Warrior Starter. The starter is a plate which consists of two eggs in any style of your choosing, toast, hashbrowns and a choice of three pieces of bacon or sausage.
“What I think is [going to] be very popular is the chicken and waffles,” Cancino said.
According to Café Camino’s webpage on the official website of parent company Pacific Dining, operating hours are between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Breakfast options are available from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and lunch starts at 10:30 a.m.
