The El Camino College softball team were held scoreless through five innings and failed to recover in a 7-2 loss to host Long Beach City College on Tuesday.
Freshman pitcher Haley Reed got the start but only lasted three innings, giving up two runs on five hits.
Fellow freshman pitcher Natalie Francis came in for the final two innings and surrendered five runs on six hits in the loss.
The Warriors’ (16-10, 7-4) will look to bounce back when they travel to Pasadena City College (16-12, 6-5) for a confernce showdown.
