Update: The El Camino College softball team (15-9, 7-3) defeated East L.A. College, 8-0, in five innings on Thursday. Freshman pitcher Natalie Francis allowed three hits in the complete-game shutout. Francis improves her record to 8-4 on the season. No. 4 Palomar College (18-1, 9-0) beat Southwestern College, 9-2, on Friday. The Comets are on an 18-game winning streak and are led by infielder Katy McJunkin, who is batting .542 on the season with one home run and 20 RBIs.
