The track and field team traveled to the California State University of Los Angeles Invitational on March 5 and exceeded the expectations of El Camino’s coach.
“We had a number of outstanding performances against strong competition in many events,” coach Dean Lofgren said. “It is always nice to have the opportunity to compete against both JC’s and four-year universities and fare well.”
Lofgren said a majority of the team had personal bests or were very close to them which is positive going into the team’s bye week.
