Free food and access to learning resources will be available as the Library & Learning Resources Center presents an Open House on Tuesday, March 3, at El Camino College from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Focused on but not limited to students enrolled in English 1A, this event will provide information on the common resources that many facilities have accessible for student success.
The event will be split up into four different sections: distance education for online students, media services, tutoring center and a collaboration with local Los Angeles County Library representatives to get students set up with library cards.
Linda Cooks, a part-time adjunct Librarian at ECC said back when she was a student, she thought the library was just for people trying to do extensive research.
But after working multiple “Open Houses,” at ECC, she said she saw firsthand how a grey area still exists among students not being aware that a libraries sole purpose is to help aid students.
