Softball season comes to an end for Warriors
The Warriors were eliminated from the softball Super Regionals on Monday after losing 6-1 to hosts Palomar College, according to CCCAA.
The Palomar Comets took the initiative and scored four early runs in the first inning before two more Comet runs in the sixth pushed the lead to six.
An RBI from sophomore shortstop Tori Garcia in the seventh inning was not enough as the Comets finished off the game and advanced to the state championship.
The Warriors finished the regular season with an overall record of 30-10, their winningest season in program history. They also captured the South Coast Conference title for the first time since 1989.
