Parking and traffic at El Camino College will be impacted as the campus will host a Los Angeles County Vote Center during the presidential primary elections from Saturday, Feb. 29 to Tuesday, March 3.
Officials expect Parking Lot C on Manhattan Beach Boulevard to be the most impacted following the weekend, as the East Dining Room, located above the Bookstore, will be used as the voting site by community members, according to an email by ECC’s Office of Marking and Communications.
Campus police will monitor the situation and assist the community as needed, according to the email.
Students, faculty and community members are required to display permits on their vehicles to use any of ECC’s parking lots to avoid a $40 minimum fine.
Daily permits are sold in each parking lot for $3 while students may purchase a semester-long pass for $35 at the Cashiers Office below the East Dining Room.
