The El Camino Art Gallery is going to present an exhibit entitled “Honeybee” from Jan. 19 to Feb. 12 to celebrate “the wonder and importance of bees,” according to the press release.
There will be a special reception on Jan. 28 from 7 to 9 p.m., and then a lecture from one of the nine artists on Feb. 2 at 1 p.m., according to the press release.
The artists of the exhibit, according to the press release, have used different art forms including: paintings, drawings, sculptures and digital works, to show their responses to the situation of pesticides and parasites threatening the population of honeybees around the globe.
“Honeybee” will be unveiled beginning Jan. 19 and open until Feb. 12. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, and from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
