The El Camino College baseball team went on the road and beat L.A. Harbor College,10-3, on Saturday grabbing sole possession of first place in the South Coast Conference.
Starting pitcher for the Warriors, freshman Taylor Rashi tossed eight solid innings giving up three runs on six hits.
“Rashi’s stuff was not his best, but that’s what made this outing so impressive,” coach Nick Jones said. “He pitched to contact with his fastball and was able to get a lot of ground outs and weak pop ups.”
The Warriors’ offense gave him plenty of run support scoring double digit runs for the ninth time this season.
Sophomore left fielder Jonathan Pasillas went 4-6 with three RBIs, including a solo home run. Freshman center fielder Noah Barba also had four hits and was a home run shy of the cycle.
