The El Camino beach volleyball team defeated San Diego Mesa College in the first match of a doubleheader on Wednesday.
EC won four games throughout the five matches and continued to cheer each other on for the rest of the series.
The women moved quick and efficiently towards their winning scores and they remain undefeated.
“They did well, it was a good challenge for them. A lot of back and forth,” Coach Le Valley Pattison said.
Here is the set scores vs. San Diego Mesa:
- No. 5 Brooklyn Rubio and Jewel Yandall win 21-10 and 21-11.
- No. 4 Jessica Dow and Victoria Curtice win 21-11 and 21-10.
- No. 3 Brooke Russel and Taylor Brydon win 17-21, 21-12, and 15-8.
- No. 2 Michelle Shimamoto and Nickeisha Williams win 18-21 and 21-17.
- No. 1 Laynie Thompson and Sadie Fraker lose 21-15 and 24-22.
