The El Camino College baseball team went on the road and came up short as it lost 6-4 against East L.A. College on Tuesday.
The loss snapped the Warrior’s three-game winning streak and put the team’s record at 9-5 (0-1 in conference play).
Freshman starting pitcher Cassius Hamm allowed six runs, four earned in six innings while giving up six hits and walked five batters.
“I thought Cassius pitched pretty well for the most part,” freshman catcher Connor Underwood said. “We couldn’t make some plays on defense and that came back to hurt us in the end.”
The Warriors host East L.A. College in the second game of a three-game series Thursday at 2 p.m. as the team looks to get its first win in conference play.
