The women’s basketball team moved to a 5-2 record after a 68-48 victory over El Camino-Compton Center, who has dropped seven straight to start the season 0-7.
“Our defense was really good, we scored a lot of transition points really early on,” coach Steve Shaw said. “We established the tempo defensively.”
The Warriors racked up 17 steals forcing 27 turnovers and scored 33 of their total 68 points off of those turnovers, Shaw said.
The Warriors on the other hand only had 12 turnovers on the game, an improvement from the past few games. That’s something they have been focusing on, Shaw added
“We need to become more consistent and play the whole game,” Shaw said. “Players need to keep learning and come into their roles to be successful.”
The Warriors (5-2) travel to Irvine Valley next Thursday Dec.10 to take on Riverside (7-2).
