The Warriors’ women’s soccer team finished game two of its season with a 2-1 loss on Friday at Santa Monica College (SMC), according to cccaasports.org.
Natalie Rey scored the first goal of the match in the 14th minute to give the (SMC) Corsairs the lead. Seven minutes later, freshman defender Princess Butler scored for El Camino with a shot from 30 yards away to tie the score at 1-1.
The Corsairs’ midfielder, Josseline Espinoza, responded with a break-away shot over the goalkeeper at the 36th minute mark to give SMC the lead and win the game.
EC finished the game with six shots and five saves, according to cccaasports.org.
The Warriors’ next game is away against Fullerton on Tuesday, Sept.8, and will kick off at 1 p.m.
