EC’s Inter Club Council and Associate Student Organization hosted a Valentine’s Day Fundraiser on campus from Feb. 9-12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There were many choices of what to do and sell. But fundraising commissioner, Charlie James, 20, business administration major found an idea to go along with the upcoming lover’s holiday.
The ICC and ASO held this event to raise money for clubs in need of money. James said, “this is for club budgets, because every year we get a certain amount of money for the clubs to use.”
James said, “The good thing about the ICC and ASO working together to help other clubs is that we do things together. And its helps us create a better community as a whole.”
Arnold Lee, 19, biology major, is the secretary of the ICC and said, “The other members and myself sell the goodie bags and work with the ASO. But he (James) is the one who plans everything and sets everything up.”
James wants to be able to help all the clubs who need funding in any way possible so they can go on trips to further experience what their club is about.
“But it (club budget) always runs out and we never can fulfill club demands.” He looked around and added, “but it’s our job to do that.”
