El Camino College’s library lawn was crowded with not only students but 80 colleges and universities for a transfer fair Tuesday held by the EC transfer center.
The fair included 11 California State Universities, 9 Universities of California, 10 historically black colleges/ universities, 7 out of state universities and 43 private/ independent universities.
Sue Oda Omori, an EC transfer counselor, said the fair was a chance for them to show the students all the different options they have.
“Students are able to grab as much information as possible from a ton of different schools all in one day,” she smiled and said as she handed students flyers, “They aren’t limited. They get to explore and find the best fit for them.”
Students who are interested in receiving help with the transferring process are encouraged to visit El Camino’s transfer center located in the student center on campus.
