Feb. 21, 2:50 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on the 4400 Block of Redondo Beach Boulevard because a vehicle that was stopped in the middle of the street. The officer approached the vehicle and found a female driver passed out with the engine still running. There was a strong odor of alcohol coming from the woman and the officer performed a field-sobriety test, which the driver failed. She was arrested for a DUI and transferred to the Torrance Police Department. During the jail search, eight grams of methamphetamine were found in her jacket pockets.
Feb. 22, 12:48 p.m. Officers responded to medical aid call on the north side of the Communications Building. A female student was skateboarding when she fell and twisted her right ankle. Paramedics were called and she was transferred to a local hospital.
Feb. 25, 11:25 a.m. Officers responded to Lot L regarding a suspicious male student who was seen running from Lot H. Officers detained the man and after investigation discovered that he was a parolee, who had a felony no-bail warrant issued by the Fresno Police Department of Corrections.
Feb. 27, 11:30 a.m. Officers responded to the Humanities Building for a disturbance call. A staff member walked into the restrooms and saw a male and female student in one of the stalls. The male student said he was in the stall because he was concerned about his friend who had a stomach ache and wanted to check on her. The girl stated that she never asked him to come into the restroom. The male student was issued a citation for being in the women’s restroom.
Feb. 27, 2:50 p.m. Officers responded to the police lobby regarding a fraud report. A male, who was not a student, had a felony no-bail warrant issued by the Fresno Police Department for possession of dangerous drugs. At the direction of the Fresno PD the man was arrested for the warrant and later released after signing a notice to appear for the previous drug charge.
March 3, 11 a.m. Officers responded to the Student Service Center for a disturbance call. A male student threw a water bottle against a wall causing a distrubance. The subject complained that his classes had been deleted. Officers tried to get the man to calm down but then he began tensing his body and pulled away from the officers. He was arrested for failing to comply with an officer and disturbing the peace.
March 4, 8:45 a.m. While patrolling the campus an officer saw a male and female arguing near the Student Activities Center. The officer approached the male, who was not a student, and found he had marijuana in his possession. The man was brought to the police station and was cited for trespassing and possession of marijuana.
