The EC men’s volleyball team stood strong as they headed into Grossmont, who was on a three-game win streak, and beat the Griffins in four sets to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches.

The Griffins, who were 3-2 were looking to keep their three-match win streak alive, while the Warriors who were 6-0 did not want to lose momentum before heading into conference matches.

The Griffins tried to stand strong in set one until they fell 21-25. The Warriors tried to keep on the pressure in set two, but the Griffins would not be stopped as they took set two 29-27.

In set three and four, the Warriors would not be stopped as they looked to keep the fire and momentum going into Wednesday’s match against LA Pierce.

In back-to-back sets the Griffins dropped the ball against the Warriors as EC beat Grossmont 25-17 in both sets.

The Warriors are now 7-0 against non-conference teams after snapping Grossmont’s win-streak who fell to 3-3.
