The EC Track team visited Cal State Northridge on March 14 for the CSUN Invitational.
Freshman Kimberly Markley showed she couldn’t be slowed down as she placed fourth in long jump and second in triple jump.
Freshmen Zaynab Bent-Mikail followed Markley’s performance by placing third in the triple jump. Freshman Victoria Porter captured second place in the 800-meter dash.
Freshman pole-vaulter Sara Curran is still on pace for a historic season as she placed fourth. This is the first meet she has not been top three since the beginning of the season.
On the men’s side of the track, sophomore Daniel York-Mouton followed up with an impressive first-place finish in the 400 meter dash.
Sophomore Tyler Caracoza captured first in the 3000-meter run in fine fashion adding another top-three finish to the Warrior’s tally.
Sophomore Chris Graham continues to impress in the 110 hurdles as he again placed in the top three with a second-place finish.
Freshman Kevin Heinemann took third in javelin putting throws on the board for EC.
The Warriors will travel to UC Irvine for the Spring Invitational this coming weekend.
