Sept. 14, 7:26 a.m. An officer responded to the Art and Behavioral Science Building for a suspicious person.
Sept. 14, 9:27 a.m. An officer responded to Lot L for a suspicious person.
Sept. 14, 1:07 p.m. An officer stopped a vehicle in Lot J. According to the report, the driver who was a student, ran two stop signs and was driving with a suspended license. The officer issued the driver a citation and told the student to park her car in the parking lot.
Sept. 14, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. According to the report, three catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles in various lots around campus. All the victims were students. Reports were taken.
Sept. 14, 5 p.m. An officer responded to the Marsee Auditorium for a medical aid. According to the report, a man who is not a student was giving a lecture and suffered a stroke or seizure. Paramedics were called and transported the man to an area hospital. A report was taken.
Sept. 15, 8:50 a.m. An officer responded to Lot A for a medical aid. According to the report, a student was walking on the sidewalk when she tripped and fell. The student was complaining of pain in her back. Paramedics were called and transported the student to an area hospital. A report was taken.
Sept. 15, 10:34 a.m. An officer responded to the police lobby to talk to a student about inappropriate text messages a male student sent her. According to the report, the female student said she met the male student in the beginning of the semester. She said that she gave him her phone number and they were texting each other, but he began to send her messages that were sexual. The officer called the male student and advised him to stop. The student told the officer that he dropped his classes and no longer is a student a EC. The officer told the man if he continued, criminal charges would be pursued. A report was taken.
Sept. 15, 9:48 p.m. An officer stopped a vehicle at Redondo Beach Boulevard and Stadium Way. According to the report, the driver who was a student made an illegal right turn from campus, and was driving with a suspended license. The officer issued the driver a citation and had the passenger with a valid license take control of the vehicle. A report was taken.
Sept. 16, 8:34 a.m. An officer responded to the police lobby for a medical aid. According to the report, a student walked into the police lobby and told the dispatcher that he was having a anxiety attack. Paramedics were called and arrived at the police station. The student refused to be transported to a hospital. A report was taken.
Sept. 16, 3:12 p.m. An officer responded to the police lobby for a hit-and-run report. According to the report, the student told the officer that someone hit her car in Lot L. The student discovered the damage after her class and was not desirous of prosecuting. A report was taken.
Sept. 16, 3:36 p.m. Officers responded to the Manhattan Beach Boulevard Modules for a disturbance call. According to the report, a male student and a female student in a relationship had a argument that escalated into a battery. A witness told the officers that the male student pushed the female student up against one of the buildings and then pulled her by the hair. The male student was arrested for battery and was transported to Torrance police for booking. A report was taken.
Sept. 17, 2:30 p.m. An officer stopped a vehicle in the 3800 block of Manhattan Beach Boulevard. According to the report, the vehicle did not have any license plates. A female passenger who is not a student had a weapons violation warrant for $26,000 from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The passenger was arrested for her outstanding warrant and the driver was released. A report was taken.
Gardena
Sept. 18, 3:14 p.m. A woman was arrested in the 2100 block of Redondo Beach Boulevard for petty theft.
Sept. 19, 9:40 a.m. A vehicle was burglarized in the 16500 block of Western Avenue. Unknown suspects smashed a front window and took money.
Torrance
Sept. 14, 6:30 a.m. A 1998 Honda Accord was stolen from the 16600 block of Yukon Avenue.
