El Camino will host a grand opening for two new buildings on campus that house a variety of occupational programs.
The Center for Applied Technology (CAT) and Industry Technology Education Center (ITEC) are scheduled to officially open on Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. according to the press release.
The new 44,000 square-foot CAT Building houses the automotive repair, welding and air conditioning and refrigeration programs.
The refurbished ITEC Building now houses the administration of justice, architecture, automation robotics and manufacturing, engineering, fire technology, emergency medical technology, and computer hardware programs.
Both of the buildings were constructed with funds from the 2002 Measure E facilities bond, according to the press release.
