It’s the end of the semester and that means final exams. There are term papers and semester projects that have to be finished and, on top of all that, students still need to find time to study.
All of this can be overwhelming and that is why the Associated Students Organization (ASO) has created Finals Madness, a place where students can go to get extra study help before finals.
“We want students to be prepared for their exams,” Kristina Nakao, ASO director of academic affairs, said. “So if they come to our event and leave better prepared for their exam, I think that is one of the goals we like to be reached.”
Finals Madness will take place Dec. 8 through Dec. 11 in the East Lounge of the Student Activities Center from 9 p.m. to midnight after the library closes. ASO will be providing snacks, white boards to work on, and free blue books and scantrons.
“We just want to have a comfortable environment for students to have a place to study,” Kimberly Garcia, ASO student trustee, said. “We are just doing the most we can to make it easier for them to study.”
