Major storm dampens EC community

Students around campus today are dressed head to toe in parkas, scarves, gloves, and boots in response to today’s weather. Up to three inches of rain could come down in coastal cities, according to the National Weather Service.

For those at EC and in the community, rain and thunderstorms are predicted this afternoon. Showers can be expected in the area tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

Large puddles have formed outside of the Bookstore and near the Social Sciences Building.

A flash flood watch is in effect until 6 a.m. tomorrow morning for local cities including Los Angeles and Long Beach.
