Cal State University leaders postponed a vote on whether to increase fees for students with an extra-large course load, course repeaters and “super seniors,” that was meant to happen yesterday afternoon, according to sacbee.com.
“Super seniors” is a term that is used to describe senior students who are taking classes for pleasure, not for transfer or degree purposes.
“I don’t think it’s right for them to overcharge someone for something that they want to do,” Cynnamon Baker, 19, film production major, said.
“I think it’s going to be especially hard for people who want to change their major,” Michelle Guelff, 20 English major, said. “It pigeon-holes people and doesn’t allow them to change their minds.”
“It’s going to be especially hard for people like me a who went from a humanities major to a science major and have to retake their core classes.”
