Athletes from the track and field team visited Santa Barbara to hone their skills for the upcoming San Diego Mesa Arnie Robinson Invitational on Saturday.
“A small, but competitive contingent of El Camino men and women team members competed in the Santa Barbara Easter Relays on Friday,” Coach Dean Lofgren said.
- Freshman Justin Alexander continues to amaze as he finished first in the men’s 400-meter hurdles. He is still currently ranked No. 1 in the state.
- Sophomore Zaynab Bent-Mikail placed first in women’s triple jump and is currently ranked No. 2 in the state.
- Freshman Yazmine Al-Uqdah placed second in women’s high jump and is currently ranked 10th in the state.
- Freshman Alex Castro placed third in men’s 400-meter hurdles and is 12th in the state.
