After dominating their last match, the Warriors women’s tennis team came in looking to beat another team, but lost at Cerritos College (CC), 6-3.
In the singles, sophomore Rose Sgolsutyatorn won 3-6, 3-6 whereas freshman Serina Rowland lost 6-2, 6-2.
Sophomore Shenae Shampine lost in a close match 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 while freshman Jade Shugars lost 6-2, 6-2.
EC’s only wins in singles came from sophomore Donya Assef who pulled away with 6-1, 6-1 wins and sophomore Chihiro Yamada who won 6-3 in both sets.
In the doubles, Sgolsutyatorn and Rowland lost 8-3, Assef and Shampine lost 8-2. Shugars and Yamada lost 8-6.
The Warriors are now 6-2-1 for the season.
