Bloodmobile will be on campus Tuesday
Blood donors are needed. The Red Cross has invited the ICC to host blood drives on Tuesday and Wednesday at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Activities Center East Lounge and Thursday Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Activities Center West Lounge. Interested persons may sign up at the Activities Center or call Janice Watanabe at 660-3506 or through www.givlife.org with the sponsor code ECC.
Tours of UC’s to take place soon
To sign up for a tour of UC San Diego on Oct. 7, students may go to the Transfer Center. The tour will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Space is limited, and a five dollar deposit is required.
WIT open house to take place Tuesday
Women in Industry and Technology is holding an open house in the Student Services Building, Room 204 G on Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The event is for anyone interested in learning more about the WIT program and services.
Students may now apply to UC’s online
Online UC tours and applications are now available. To apply online to any UC, students my go to www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admission/undergradapp. It is recommended that students wishing to apply, attend a UC application workshop, available at the Transfer Center before applying online.
Medical workshop offered for students
Students interested in pursuing careers in the medical, pharmaceutical, or related fields are invited to attend a pre-health profession workshop that will take place on Friday Oct. 14 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Haag Recital Hall. After the workshop, there will be a panel of professionals to answer questions. To register for the workshop, students may go to the Career Center or the college website.
Asking a librarian just got a lot easier
“Ask a librarian service” is for students who can’t get to the library but need facts checked can have them another way, for answers to factual or research adviece. Students may submit question online. To submit a question students may go to www.elcamino.edu/library/library_ser and click on “Ask-A-Librarian.” Responses are estimated to take less than 48 hours.
