The El Camino women’s soccer team were shut out in a 2-0 loss to Mt. San Antonio College last Friday.
Coach John Britton said the Warriors played a solid game in the first halftime, but they fell off because they did not have enough players.
“We controlled the ball and made good plays,” Britton said. “A few of our key players were not in the lineup and our rotation was off. The girls were disappointed with the loss.”
After a scoreless first half, the Mounties scored two goals in the second half and shut out the Warriors.
With a 2-1-1 record in conference, the Warriors can still push to earn a playoff spot. Britton said if they keep playing well and winning games, they certainly will be able to contend.
The Warriors next game is at Murdock Stadium on Tuesday against Pasadena City College. Kick off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
