The El Camino College women’s soccer team could not come back from an early deficit and dropped a 3-2 loss to Rio Hondo College Tuesday at Murdock Stadium.
The Warriors have lost three of the last four games and fall to 7-3-4 on the season.
Coach John Britton said as a team, they had some defensive breakdowns along with goalkeeping indecision that unfortunately led to the three Rio Hondo goals.
Within 15 minutes of play, the Warriors allowed three goals, including an own goal by the defense.
Warriors’ team captain Kalyn Kaemerle said despite the score, it was probably the best game they have played all season.
“As long as there is effort, I don’t care what the score is,” Kaemerle said.
The Warriors travel to Mt. San Antonio College Friday. The match kicks off at 4 p.m.
