EA Sports franchise looks to outdo past success with ‘Madden 16’

EA+Sports+franchise+looks+to+outdo+past+success+with+Madden+16

Since the first game released in 1989 titled “John Madden Football,” the Electronic Arts Sports franchise of “Madden” has been the most successful game franchises, according to vgsales.com.

The franchise has been based off of the NFL and its teams and players during the respective years of the game.

There is much speculation such as memes that Madden will take young men and gamers away from their regular lives, but the gamers themselves choose to buy the game for that reason. Not everyone has easy sources of stress relief, so relying on the game should be of no real concern.

This entire franchise has had success within the gaming community. The games have been getting more realistic and complex over the years. With the creation of the first 11 vs. 11 gameplay in the original “John Madden Football” to the addition of the “hit stick” in Madden 2005.

This year’s “Madden 16” is expected to be another great hit to add on to the hype and success of the franchise. From the releases of Madden 2001 to Madden 2008 total sales of the game is 35.92 million copies in the U.S. alone, according to vgsales.com.

Playing the game for so long, as well as being an avid football fan, the game really connects one to the the game and franchises. Being able to control my favorite players and team is such a pleasure.

Not disregarding the amazing gameplay changes over the years, the franchise itself has made great strides to appeal to the fans and gamers.

So far, reviews have been great for the game, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the game for myself, Gamespot.com has Madden 16 rated at an 8/10, according to their website, Metacritic.com has a website rating of 81/100 and a user rating of 7.5, according to their website.

A user rating lower than the critic rating may cause some room for concern, but that most likely will not dissuade players from grabbing the game off the shelf. The game isn’t so much about the content, but the fun and trash-talk situations with friends.

Parents and game haters may view this as just another game to occupy the minds of young men and women who enjoy the game, but it serves more than that, the online feature and ability to play against people all over the world and country connects players through and through.

Players like myself thoroughly enjoy the game and I believe the success of the franchise really speaks for itself.
