ECPD Chief Michael Trevis said, in an email, that the suspect was arrested on Friday.

At approximately 9:10 p.m. on Thursday, the male suspect followed the student to her vehicle on the first floor of Lot H. He sparked up a conversation and tried to grab her and pull her for a kiss, according to the advisory.

After rejecting him, the student attempted to get into her car, when he reached into the car and grabbed her breast.

Once she left Lot H, she contacted Campus Police and made a report about the incident.

Here are safety tips from the Campus Advisory:

  • Use ECC Courtesy Shuttle operated by ECC Police from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; on-call 24 hours. Use one of the POLICE phones located throughout campus, or call campus police 310-660-3100 for this service.
  • Night class students should park near each other and walk to and from class together.
  • Have your keys in hand when walking to your car and always be aware of your surroundings.

UPDATE: Oct. 3, 11:35 a.m. Suspect was arrested on Friday.
