The accused former student, who threatened to “create a massacre on campus” will be back in court on Nov. 19, to set up a new court date for a new preliminary hearing, Patrick O’Crowley, Torrance district attorney, said.

On James Lemus’, 36, Oct. 20 court date he apparently “missed the bus” which led to a late court meeting, O’Crowley said.

The new Nov. 19 date is not a prelim hearing date, but is a meeting date for both attorneys and the judge, to set a prelim date for Lemus, so that the trial can proceed as quickly as possible, O’Crowley said.

The Nov. 19 date will be a morning schedule case for the court and is expected to be done by noon.
