New court date set for accused student

The next court date for the student accused of threatening to create a massacre on the library lawn is April 6, Judge Eric Taylor said in Torrance court today.

Thirty-five-year old James Lemus smiled at his mother as he entered the courtroom and only remained inside the room for a minute or two.

The next court date for the case is this Thursday, but public defender Jonathan Cruz asked that that date be a non-appearance for Lemus. His last court date was late last month.

When he entered the courtroom, Lemus smiled at his mother. Just before he exited, he blew her a kiss.
