Court date moved up for student who allegedly made death threats

James Lemus, the student accused of making death threats toward EC community members recently, was booked at L.A. County Jail Friday, according to an advisory email sent to faculty and students from ECPD.

His court date is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday. According to a temporary restraining order granted Oct. 3, Lemus’ court date was originally scheduled for Friday.

Lemus’ bail is set at $152,000, according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department Inmate Information Center.
