Two students were involved in a fight that involved slapping at the Technical Arts Building Thursday evening, EC Police Chief Michael Trevis said in an email.

Students who witnessed the incident refused to comment. The officer at the scene said it was “against policy” for him to talk to the newspaper. He referred questions about the incident to the on-duty watch commander, who has not returned phone calls and emails.

Trevis said neither of the students involved wanted a police report, “so they both were referred to our director of student development.”
