Contractors on campus hit water line
Contractors hit a water line Monday afternoon affecting the Construction Technology Building and the horticulture area on the west side of campus, according to an email from Facilities Planning and Services.
The email said the water line is expected to be repaired by Friday and asked all questions be referred to Debbie Turano, facilities senior clerical assistant.
Turano referred questions regarding the incident to Bob Bradshaw, facilities construction manager, who could not be reached for comment.
Update, Aug. 26, 2:45 p.m.: Bradshaw said the repair was fixed Tuesday and expects the Construction Technology Building to have water again Wednesday.
Bradshaw added water to the building was shut down when contractors hit a 2-inch line Monday morning and it was tested for bacteria. Temporary bathrooms were brought to the the building while repairs were taking place.
