1.Faculty member contacts
police due to voice mail
May 10, 9:00 a.m.–Police were contacted by a faculty member who had one of his students leave him disturbing voice mails. Previously, officers had been called to this class when the same student had become enraged and disruptive.
2.Student threatened by a
classmate for $2,000
May 7, 3 p.m.-A student was brought to the police station by his grandparents to report that a classmate in his auto body class had threatened to kill him if he wasn’t paid $2,000. The suspect student drove the victim student to the bank to withdraw the money, then dropped him off back at school. The crime is under investigation.
3.Non-student found with
misdemeanor warrant
May 7, 9:45 a.m.-A non-student came into the station lobby to get fingerprinted as part of a livescan. It was found that he had a $30,000 misdemeanor warrant out for his arrest. He was cited for the outstanding warrant and released.
4.Student’ s property gets
stolen from parking lot
May 5, 1:30 p.m.-A student parked in lot L found his car door open with his stereo faceplate and subwoofer stolen. This case is still under investigation.
5.Female student taken to
hospital due to seizures
May 5, 12:30 p.m.-Officers responded to a call to Schauerman Library, where a student was having a seizure. She told officers that she routinely suffers from seizures and is on medication for it. She was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
