1. Student taken to hospital
due to an asthma attack
May 4, 11 a.m.-Officers arrived at the Health Center regarding a female student having an asthma attack.
The student said she also had an attack the night before and took an over the counter medication to relieve it. She was transported to Little Company of Mary Hospital.
2. Officers respond to a
disturbance in Library
May 4, 10:48 a.m.-Officers were called to the Library on a disturbing the peace complaint.
Witnesses say a student was becoming loud and belligerent when a pay station machine supposedly ate his $5.
The Library did not end up giving the student his $5 and police officers had a talk with him. No citation was given out.
3. Driver of a Land Rover
backs into parked car
May 3, 8:39 p.m.-A driver of a black Land Rover backed into a parked car, damaging its rear tail light and bumper.
A witness said the hit-and-run driver looked at his car for damage and drove off upon seeing the witness. The Land Rover was last seen going west on Redondo Beach Boulevard.
4. District-owned police
truck collides with pole
May 1, 9:50 a.m.-The driver of a district-owned police truck was involved in a collision with a pole after the driver thought he or she could make a tight turn.
The driver was trying to avoid a car when he or she sideswiped a yellow pole that was on the passenger side of the police truck. No one was hurt in the collision.
