The Haag Recital Hall will be hosting the ECC Studio Jazz Band performance on Monday, Nov. 28 at 8 p.m., according to the Center for the Arts’ website.
The performance will be directed by part-time faculty member David Sills, with musical pieces that include standard big band repertoire, swing, section playing ensemble blend and developing stylistic jazz interpretation skills performed by students, according to the show’s flier.
“In the style of Duke Ellington and Count Basie, it’s an exciting ensemble mix of the original soloists,” Sills said.
The show also includes various pieces by Ellington and Basie being performed
by Sills’ students.
Sills said the performers ranges from students of all ages from all different backgrounds and a wide of range skill levels.
