The El Camino board of trustees approved $1.9 million for the installation of new Wi-Fi on campus at its meeting on Sept. 7.
The board had previously been moving towards these upgrades, which are being targeted at older buildings where signals aren’t as strong, and board president Ken Brown said students can expect work to be done in the upcoming weeks.
“El Camino has been taking action on the Wi-Fi problem for four months now,” Brown said.
He also added that the Wi-Fi installation should be completed over an eight-week span.
The next board meeting is on Oct. 17 at 4 p.m. in the board room, located in the Administration Building.
