Trial begins soon for student accused of threatening school officials

The trial for the student accused of threatening to create a massacre on the El Camino library lawn is set to begin soon, Judge Eric Taylor said in Torrance court today.
Public defender Jonathan Cruz said additional documents related to the case have been made available and asked for more time.
James’ Lemus mother, Maria Lemus, and the husband of English instructor Leeanne Bergeron were in the courtroom today. Bergeron taught Lemus in the past and she is who police believe James Lemus was talking about in his threats.
