Ever sat in math class and thought it would be great if there was some place close to the Mathematics Building where a person could get orange chicken?
That problem has been solved with the opening of “Munchy,” the new food source for students on EC campus.
“The food is pretty good and it is right next to my class, so it is convenient,” Francisco Mariano, 20, undecided major, said.
The new Munchy Deli was built near the Manhattan Beach Boulevard Modules so EC could have different deli’s around campus and make it convenient for students who have classes in the Math or Science classes as the nearest deli is by the Social Science Building.

Students who usually have to go to the other delis such as The Manhattan are finding it helpful to have a deli on the opposite end of campus.
The Munchy food deli offers a variety of food choices such as various burgers, pizza, breakfast items, hot dogs, an assortment of Asian cuisine, snacks, such as candy, chips and gummy bears, as well as a variety of beverages.
“(It’s) really convenient because it’s right next to my class, I don’t have to walk over the place,” Ana Zepeda, criminal justice major said.
While students are finding the new deli convenient and that it makes the campus more accessible, some students still believe the prices for campus food are too expensive
