Workshop available to transfer students
Students who wish to transfer to a CSU and are beginning to process are invited to attend a transfer strategy workshop Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in SSC 106. Students may learn about the transfer process, tips for transferring, requirements and strategies to make transferring easier.
UC representatives will be on campus
UCSD representatives will present on campus from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and representatives from UCI will be on campus from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. The representatives will be available to speak with by appointment in the Transfer Center. Appointments must be made in advance through the Transfer Center. Career fair will be on campus soon
Students looking for employment may be interested in attending the Diversity Career Fair on Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Activities Center. The event will offer opportunities for students to meet with potential employers and will also showcase educational opportunities available through EC.

A workshop will take place on Tuesday Oct 18 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for all students wishing to transfer to a UC. Internship fair will be on Library Lawn

Union nominated for Pacemaker award
The Union has been nominated by the Associated Collegeiate Press as one of 58 finalists in the 2005 Newspaper Pacemaker competition. It was selected from 211 entrants and will be honored as a finalist on Oct. 29 at the ACP national convention in Kansas City. For more information, persons may go to www.studentpress.org/acp.
