After getting their first tie of the season Warriors women’s tennis team came in strong to pull off a win at home.
The Warriors defeated Victor Valley College (VVC) 7-0 to improve their record to 6-1-1. There was only two matches in the doubles played.
In the doubles, sophomores, Donya Assef and Shenae Shampine defeated VVC players 4-0.
Sophomore Chihiro Yamada and freshman Jade Shugars defeated VVC players 8-0.
In the singles, freshman Serina Rowland won against VVC 6-0 in two sets. Shampine won against VVC player, 6-0 in both sets. Shugars and Yamada both won by the same margin against VVC player, 6-0 in two sets.
VVC did not play the next two singles. The Warriors will look to dominate next game at Cerritos College (CC) at 2 p.m.
