With a win over Fullerton College last week, the Warrior women’s tennis team stretch their winning streak to four straight after a win over Orange Coast, 8-1.
EC improves their record to 4-1 with the win.
In the doubles EC won 2-1, with sophomore, Rose Sgolsutyatorn, and sophomore, Serena Rowland losing against OC players, 7-6, 6-3.
Sophomore, Shenae Shampine, and sophomore, Donya Assef, dominated their double match winning 8-1.
Freshman, Jade Shugars, and sophomore, Chihiro Yamada won over OC players 8-2. For the singles, EC dominated it to win 6-0.
Sgolsutyatorn beat her opponent, Orange Coast player, Hali Dickson 7-6, 6-3 while Rowland got the win over OC player, Emily Nickles.
Shenae pulled off a win over Orange Coast player, Sarah Sampouw, 6-2, 6-2, and Sugars beat OC player, Moddy Akll, 6-4, 6-4 in an intense match.
Assef beat OC player, Natsuki Tanaka 6-4, 6-1, before freshman, Melissa Granik finished the game with a win over OC player, Lindsay Clawson 6-4, 6-3.
Next game will be at 2 p.m. at EC vs Rio Hondo College.
