Men's and women's basketball teams defeat L.A. Southwest in conference opener

The men’s and women’s basketball teams both defeated the Los Angeles Southwest College Cougars Wednesday night in the South Coast Conference opener.
The women’s team (12-4) swept the Cougars 78-56. The men’s team (5-7) defeated the Cougars 68-63.
The Warriors travel to Long Beach City College on Friday with the women’s team starting play at 5 p.m. and the men’s team following at 7 p.m.
