Monday, Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. A female student was experiencing a severe neck pain due to a previous incident which happened off campus. An officer responded to the medical aid call in the planetarium. The officer notified the paramedics and she was soon transported to an hospital.
Monday, Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Two students reported that someone stole their car battery that was parked on Lot L. The surveillance cameras did not capture any footage.
Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 4:40 p.m. A male student reported that he found a dent in the front bumper of his vehicle when he returned to his car which was parked on the third floor of Lot H. According to the Police Beat, an unknown witness left a note on the victims vehicle with the partial license plate number of the possible vehicle.
Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 12:54 p.m. A female student reported that her ex-boyfriend approached her on campus several times claiming he wanted to speak with her. The ex-boyfriend is no longer a student at EC and she was ask to call ECPD if he tries to get in contact with her again while on campus ground. She has also been advised to obtain a restraining order against him.
Thursday, Nov. 3 A male, non-student, reported that he was robbed of his cellphone and wallet at gunpoint at 8 p.m. on Nov. 1, near the facilities building on Manhattan Beach Boulevard. He reported that the suspects were in a dark gray Toyota pickup truck. The case is still under investigation.
Thursday, Nov. 3 at 1:39 p.m. A suspicious male subject was near a trash can in front of the 7-Eleven across the street from Lot L. The subject, who is not a student, was speaking to himself and yelling out obscenities. The subject told EC Police that he suffers from schizophrenia and has been off his medication for three days. The subject then agreed to seek help and a he was transported to a local hospital by paramedics.
Thursday, Nov. 3 at 9:32 p.m. A female student flagged down a police cadet near the Auditorium. The female student told the police cadet on duty that she saw a male suspect inside of the women’s locker room. The female told the police cadet that she asked the male suspect what he was doing in the locker room but he did not reply and had a startled look as if he was lost. The Officers checked the entire building and were not able to find a trace of the male or anyone matching her description of him.
Friday, Nov. 4 at 9:42 a.m. A bookstore staff member flagged down a police cadet on duty. The staff member told the EC cadet that a male subject left the bookstore without paying for an item. Officers were not able to find the suspect but were able to obtain a picture from the surveillance cameras.
