An El Camino student was arrested after handcuffing himself to a table and ripping posters off the wall on Friday, Oct. 21 at approximately 9:30 a.m. on the third floor of the Art Building.
The suspect was suspended from campus for violating the student code of conduct before the incident. His name will not be given to the press, due to the odd circumstances.
EC police chief Michael Trevis could not comment on the incident due to the case still being under investigation.
Professor Jennifer Montgomery saw the incident occur, but did not answer any messages or phone calls from a Union reporter.

UPDATE: 11:05 a.m. Nov. 2, the student was suspended prior to causing the disturbance.
