El Camino’s Career Center hosted a seminar Thursday led by members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), informing students about career opportunities and their Honors Internship Program, which now for the first year is being offered to junior college students.
Over 90 students attended the seminar located in the Alondra Room above the Bookstore. Speakers included FBI Special Agent Allison Powojski and two other FBI employees in other departments.
The FBI offers careers in almost every academic field of study and major.
The seminar explained how to apply for the Honors Internship Program, that’s now taking applicants for Summer 2017.
The program is a 10-week paid internship at any of the 11 FBI field offices in the Los Angeles area, applicants need to be enrolled full-time at a college or university and have a minimum 2.95 GPA.
